'Cus I wuz told to....

I thought I would just show you all what is currently on my loom (and probably will be for some time to come). For those who don't know, I'm the proud owner of a LeClerc Colonial. A huge floor loom, with a 60" shed and at the moment 4 shafts. All winter, it has sat patiently in my workshop waiting, complete with a linen rug warp for me to move back in. Well, now that I have moved back, I have started the rug that I had planned last Autumn (as you can tell, I'm not one to rush things). I was looking for a way to use up all my "spare" fleece that is either too old or not suitable for what I now spin. So here we are. The Colours are a little 80's but the lavenders and greys seem to work very well together. I'm weaving 2" or so of each colour and breaking it up with bands of fleece, washed but that's about it. It's looking promising. (Thanks to Freya for making me share).

Oh it looks great and lucky you having a workshop :)
I have just got rid of my loom as I just can't do do it any more, too back breaking. I am getting a knitters loom instead ...I think I am going to regret this move :( even it is sensible and means I can weave something !!!!

Knitters looms are just rigid heddles by another name (I feel anyway!).

And beautiful things are woven on rigid heddle looms.....
