An enforced quiet week.

This week due to Real World stuff I've been stuck on the sofa with feet up "resting".  Once off he sofa for anything other than foraging trips, there will be pix. In the meanwhile...
Now, if I had done nothing at all, in all probability I would have gone loopy, so I have been knitting.... A quick pair of socks for my friend Nita whizzed off my needles Sunday night, she nabbed them yesterday before they could be pixed, so I shall have to ask nicely...
I am now only 4 rows from the end of the sea foam lace section of my sea shore shawl.  Only bubbles & fishes to go.  I'm really pleased with this, as it had stalled for a while.

And then I got distructive.  As I hadn't used the pelmet on my Vlindervest - my hips are generous enough without help- I thought I would use it as a kick frill for a skirt.  After careful reflection, I came to the conclusion that it would still manage to make me short & fat even at ankle level, so I ripped it back.  All of it.  Am now feeling quite giddy.  I have now C/O again, & am in the process of knitting about 5 inches of kick split before I join it into the round & start with the vertical stripes similar to those on the arms of the Jacket. It is looking promising.
My favorite piece on the needle at the moment is the Dragon waistcoat.  This is pretty much designing itself... I'm now as far up as the beginning of the shoulders so by the end of next week I hope to be slitting steeks and picking up stitches for the edgings.  I'm a little stuck on the pockets.   They are sitting in the fabric waiting for attention in the form of huge magic thumbs do we shall see. Next time will blog about alpaca shrug & new black & white shawl... now, I think that is all I have on needles at the moment. Apart from the domino that is...
